Health Story Collaborative

A growing body of research supports that telling personal narratives, especially after an adverse medical diagnosis, can have positive outcomes on physical and psychological health. Dr. Annie Brewster is the Founder and Dr. Adler is the Chief Academic Officer of the Health Stories Collaborative, a nonprofit organization dedicated to collecting, honoring, and sharing stories of illness and healing. The Courageous Parents Network

The Courageous Parents Network is a resource providing podcasts, videos, guides, and blogs about grieving and healing after the death of a child. The website also provides information about many life-threatening pediatric illnesses and offers guidance to help parents navigate the medical system, communicate effectively, and make informed decisions for their child and family.

The Centering Corporation

The Centering Corporation provides educational resources for the bereaved including a quarterly magazine, Grief Digest, and an extensive list of book recommendations for parents, children, siblings, spouses and others who are grieving.

The Compassionate Friends

The Compassionate Friends provides support to bereaved families after the death of a child. Parents, siblings and grandparents can join over 600 support groups in the US, read articles about grief in the We Need Not Walk Alone magazine, discover books and private online groups, and more.

The Children’s Room

The Children’s Room offers hope and healing to children from the ages of 3 to 18 who have experienced the death of a parent or sibling.
